We are pleased to welcome Sławomir Kmak to the Medbase team as a Regional CEE business development leader. Based in Poland, he will be acting as Medbase Head of Operations in Poland and help deepen Medbase’s engagement and partnerships across Central Eastern European countries (CEE), supporting our mission to enable safer, smarter pharmacotherapy in the region.

A track record in innovation and public health

With expertise ranging from medical innovation to public affairs, Sławomir has held leadership roles in both international healthcare organisations and health tech start-ups. He has collaborated with government agencies, scientific societies, and key opinion leaders across Europe combining strategic thinking and practical implementation.

A central focus of Sławomir’s work has been the development of telecare and remote monitoring solutions for chronic conditions such as pulmonary and cardiovascular diseases, as well as for elderly care. He is also passionate about the application of AI in healthcare decision-making – a vision that aligns closely with Medbase’s structured approach to improving drug safety and efficacy.

Outside of work, Sławomir finds balance in the natural world. He is an avid hiker who enjoys spending time in the woods and caring for his senior dog, Howard. A firm believer in the harmony between technology and humanity, he brings a grounded, thoughtful perspective to his work.

The Central Eastern European healthcare sector is undergoing rapid digital transformation, driven by policy reforms, EU funding, and a growing need for more integrated, evidence-based decision support.
