Medbase strengthens its presence in the DACH region – welcome, Stefan Bodensteiner

We are pleased to welcome Stefan Bodensteiner to Medbase as our new Sales Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Stefan joins us on April 1st, bringing with him an impressive career in sales, deep market knowledge and a strong professional network. His extensive experience in healthcare IT and understanding of the unique challenges in the region will be instrumental in driving Medbase’s growth.

To introduce Stefan, we asked him a few questions about his background, his decision to join Medbase and his vision for the future.

Rooted in relationships, focused on solutions

Stefan’s professional journey began in the German Armed Forces, where he served as an officer in the military police. One of the highlights of his military career was leading a personal protection mission for Prince Andrew during a naval maneuver in the Baltic Sea.

After a successful career in the military, he transitioned to the business world in 1997, taking on sales roles in hardware, software and services. Over time, he found his focus in healthcare IT, where he has worked closely with doctors, pharmacists and medical staff across the DACH region.

His ability to build trusted relationships, identify customer pain points and offer solutions that enhance clinical decision-making has made him a key player in supporting the region’s digital healthcare transformation.

Outside of work, Stefan is married and has a grown-up son. He enjoys staying active, gardening and unwinding with Scandinavian crime novels–especially those by Jussi Adler-Olsen.
